Getting ready at the Rock Hotel

I think the best hotel to stay in Gibraltar is the Rock Hotel. It's the perfect place for a relaxing stay, and its proximity to the beautiful Alameda Gardens is an added bonus. The hotel itself is stunning, with spectacular views that provide a breathtaking backdrop. The rooms are spacious and decorated in neutral tones, which is ideal for photography. Whether you're preparing for your big day or simply unwinding, the Rock Hotel offers an excellent setting for your elopement experience.

The Rock Hotel is beautifully designed in everlasting elegance, providing a stunning backdrop for photos. The lobby, restaurant area, and terraces are all thoughtfully designed, allowing you to fully admire the beauty of the Strait.

City Hall Gibraltar Wedding

This couple chose to get married at the City Hall in Gibraltar. It's an intriguing venue; the building itself is exceptionally beautiful and centrally located in Gibraltar. However, it's important to note that this location lacks natural light, necessitating the use of a flash for photography. The interior is adorned with artwork, giving it a museum-like appearance.

After capturing the preparations, first look, and ceremony - which typically takes about 2 hours - we move on to the highlight of Gibraltar wedding photography: the sunset session. This is my absolute favourite part of photographing elopements in Gibraltar. During this magical time, we'll:

  1. Visit the most breathtaking locations, including the iconic Top of the Rock
  2. Capture stunning images with the golden light of sunset
  3. Create a memorable experience unique to your Gibraltar elopement

Not only will you get the best photos of your special day, but you'll also enjoy an intimate adventure exploring Gibraltar's most picturesque spots. This sunset session truly sets Gibraltar weddings apart, offering both beautiful imagery and an unforgettable experience for couples.

I arrange the second part of the day about 2 hours before the sunset. We met at the room again because I want to take pics on the terrace. Afterwads we decided to go first to Alameda Gardens, thebest green place in Gibraltar that is located just across the street from the Rock Hotel. The light was super soft at that time already, just have a look!

The unforgettable sunset session in Gibraltar

Okay, you will be probably surprised with the amount of locations I am able to fit in during about 1.5 hour. I usually help my couples to get a taxi so that it is easy for us to change the locations quickly. Imagine the headache i give the drivers ;) This time we went to the Convent (where the Governor of Gibraltar resides, Rosia Bay, The Sacred Heart Church, and most importantly the Apes Den at the Top of the Rock.
